PCA is currently seeking feedback on the Grading Policy. If you would like to provide feedback, please fill out the form here

We will continue to accept survey responses until July 24th, 2025.  We are seeking feedback on the grading policy updates. In the document linked, you’ll see that words with a strikethrough are being removed and underlined words are being added.

Why Are We Making This Change?

The new grading scale—EE (Exceeds Expectations), ME (Meets Expectations), DE (Developing), IN (Inconsistent), and IE (Insufficient Evidence)—is meant to give a clearer picture of how students are doing in their special subject classes. It focuses more on what students are learning and how they are progressing toward specific expectations, rather than using more general or subjective labels.

We also added an “Insufficient Evidence” option to be used when a student has missed a large amount of class time. This isn’t a penalty - it’s simply a way to note that there isn’t enough information to fairly assign a grade at that time.
